Goodbye September. Hello October 🍂

September made me realise that energy is currency. You must spend it wisely. My knee is still an open wound, but the hole has pretty much filled up now. I’ve been able to walk more. Yes, there have been moments that it has been sore. But I’m so grateful that I am slowly on the move.

Grief still comes in waves but my biggest strength through it all is remembering that life is meant to be enjoyed – even when weathering through its storms. I had a few health scares this month – but it is only a reflection of the need for deeper self care and only allowing soul aligned connections to surround me as I journey into my next steps. Boundary setting is so utterly important. I feel like September was a stepping stone to highlight what I need to prioritise. Not being able to train at the gym has blown my brain into an oblivion because I miss throwing weights about and feeling strong! But this week I am starting a phased return back to the gym which I am really excited for. Even though I am not allowed to train legs, I can move in other ways and I cannot wait for more routine and normality to sink my teeth into.

People usually feel sad around this time, as the days get darker and colder. But yesterday, I dwindled through the rain and crazy winds with deep gratitude. I am sometimes too harsh on myself in the name of perfectionism and ambition. But I recognised my strengths and all the wonderful things that make me, me. Mindset is everything and every day we have a choice. Through positivity, perseverance and light, I am rising like a pheonix from the ashes. I also urge you to with me. Start your day recognising five things you are grateful for. Then watch the magic unfold ✨️

Love, Imi xxx
